Grant Guidelines and Submission

The SAGES Education & Research Foundation will accept applications for grants projects for the 2020 year starting on August 1, 2019.  We awards grants to 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) organizations that seek support for programs or projects that align with our mission, goals, or objectives. Grants are given on a competitive basis by submission of a grant application and proposal. Currently, grants are awarded for a one-year period only. Those seeking multi-year funding must reapply each year.

Availability of Grants: An expected total of $400,000 to $500,000 will be allocated in 2019-2020. The SAGES Foundation will consider grant requests between $1,000 to $100,000.

Deadline: Grants must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on September 9, 2019 . The grants will be reviewed in October and notification of approvals will occur in November or December.

Application: Grant applicants must structure their proposal as described in the application guidelines. Completed applications must be submitted to foundation@sages.org by 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on September 9, 2019.

Evaluation of Applications: Applications are reviewed by the SAGES Foundation’s Grants Review Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. Analysis of applications includes a determination of whether a request meets the basic funding criteria of the SAGES Foundation, including consistency with its programmatic goals, objectives, and priorities; clearly articulated pathways to achieving results; and the potential for measurable impact. A request for additional information may be required after application submission. Please note that due to the volume of applications, the SAGES Foundation is unable to fund all requests submitted for consideration.

SAGES Member Donation History

SAGES Members can view and download their donation history by logging into the main SAGES web site and selecting “My Donations” from the members menu.  Your full donation history will be displayed and there is a button to download it for record-keeping.
