Appreciated Stock Donation
When you are thinking about being supportive to the Foundation, there are many imaginative ways to help. In some circumstances it is beneficial to both donor and recipient to make a donation of equity securities (stock) in lieu of a cash donation. Because there are certain limitations, as well as potential advantages, you should discuss this possibility with your CPA. The tax benefits to the donor are, under some circumstances, significant.
